You Love your dog like family.
So why does boarding them have to feel so stressful.

Your bags are packed. Your trip is booked.
But there is still that little voice wondering... will they actually understand my dog?

Because let's be honest... Most places feel a little too much like "here's your dog's kennel, see you in three days."

You told yourself never again. But every boarding option looks the same: warehouse-style facilities that prioritize volume over care. Your dog ended up in a crate, watching the clock just like you were.

But wait… You just found something different.
It's the place where your dog's experience matters.
It isn't stressful for you or them. You both get to enjoy your vacation.
Your dog will explore, sniff the trails, have fun themed activities,
time to relax and enjoy their own individualized experience designed around them.
No warehouse vibes here... Just peaceful luxury, enrichments, and adventures here in Central Arkansas!

Adventure Trails Built for Dogs

Most boarding facilities have a fenced yard. We have a trail system. Our Pawsitive Pathways wind through natural pine forest on private property — each trail designed with enrichment stations along the way.

Scent Stations

Hidden scent trails activate your dog’s most powerful sense. They follow their nose through the forest, discovering new paths every visit.

The People & Paws Behind the Pines

This isn't a franchise. Paws-N-Pines was built from scratch by Kristie, a CPR and First Aid certified dog care professional who lives on the property and personally oversees every guest's stay.

Her bloodhound Daisy runs the welcome committee.

Dog Parents Are Talking

★★★★★

Sarah M. — Little Rock, AR

“The first time I picked Max up from Paws-N-Pines, he was calm, happy, and actually tired in a good way. I could tell he had been active and cared for. I have not boarded him anywhere else since.”

★★★★★

David & Rachel T. — Benton, AR

“Kristie took the time to understand our dog’s anxiety triggers during the evaluation. Now Cooper actually gets excited when we pull up to the property. That alone tells us everything we need to know.”

★★★★★

Jennifer L. — Bryant, AR

“Kristie spent extra time during the resort readiness evaluation and built a modified enrichment plan just for her. By the third visit, Bella was wagging her tail at drop-off. I never thought I would see that.”

★★★★★

Marcus D. — Sherwood, AR

“After three weeks of Day School, the difference at home is unreal. He is calmer, more focused, and actually settles down in the evenings. The enrichment approach works. I am a believer.”

★★★★★

Amanda K. — Maumelle, AR

“Kristie knows my dog by name, remembers her quirks, and adjusts her plan based on how she is doing that day. That level of personal attention does not exist at chain boarding places.”

★★★★★

Chris & Lauren P. — North Little Rock, AR

“Our anxious border collie used to shake during car rides to the boarding kennel. Now she pulls toward the gate at Paws-N-Pines. The trails, the calm environment, the one-on-one time — it all adds up.”

Questions We Hear Most

Straight answers for dog parents doing their research.

What happens during the Resort Readiness Evaluation?
We spend 30–60 minutes with you one-on-one. For Boarding we spend one full day with your dog. For K9 Academy, we spend three full days with your dog observing how they respond to new spaces, other dogs, and different stimuli. From there we build their personalized plan and match them with the right play group.
What are the drop-off and pick-up times?
For Boarding, drop-off is between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM, Monday - Friday. 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Saturday - Sunday. Pick up by 11:00 AM

For K9 Academy, drop-off is between 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM, Monday - Friday. Pick-up is between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Our security gate is locked between these windows for the safety of every dog on our property. Contact us at least 24 hours in advance if you need an adjusted time.
Is the property secure?
Yes. Our property features a security gate that remains closed and locked outside of scheduled drop-off and pick-up windows. The property itself is private, wooded acreage set back from the road, and all play areas and trails are within our secured perimeter.
What if my dog has anxiety or is nervous around other dogs?
This is exactly the kind of dog we built Paws-N-Pines for. Our entire facility is designed around anxiety reduction — from fear-reducing color palettes to canine-specific calming music. Anxious dogs receive modified enrichment plans with more one-on-one time, quieter spaces, gradual introductions, and extra decompression time on the trails.
What certifications does Kristie hold?
Kristie is Pet-Tech CPR, First Aid Certified and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator versed in enrichment methodology, and anxiety-reduction techniques. Every enrichment plan is personally designed and overseen by Kristie. This is a smaller facility by design — quality over quantity means your dog gets attentive, hands-on care from someone who knows them by name.
Do you accommodate long-term boarding?
Absolutely. We welcome extended stays for vacations, work travel, relocations, and military deployments. Long-term guests receive a fully customized enrichment schedule that evolves over time to keep them engaged and maintain their emotional well-being throughout the stay. Contact us directly to discuss your timeline.
How is Paws-N-Pines different from a traditional kennel?
Traditional kennels prioritize containment. We prioritize enrichment. No concrete runs. No fluorescent hallways. No dogs stacked in crates. Your dog gets daily trail adventures, sensory enrichment, temperament-matched socialization, cognitive challenges, and dedicated calm-down time in spaces designed with fear-reducing colors, calming aromatherapy, and curated music.
What areas do you serve?
Paws-N-Pines is located at 18939 Westlake Dr in Little Rock, AR 72206, approximately 15 minutes from downtown. We serve dog owners throughout Little Rock, North Little Rock, Benton, Bryant, Maumelle, Cabot, Jacksonville, Sherwood, and all of Pulaski County and Saline County.
